SYNOPSIS
BRYUNSVILLE 2063
When gumshoe detective, Daxon Steele, finds he’s ankle deep in more than a chewed up wad, he quickly uncovers a sinister plot that sets out to exploit and destroy not just the skink-pushers who hide in the shadows of the Flatpack District, not just the poor guys, gals and others shaking their hips at Shooters & Hooters Club, but the entire population of Bryunsville.

Will Dax overcome his prejudice and accept Gaz, a former stripper-bot, as his partner?
Can he resist the machinations of Mrs. Axler, a dame hot enough to boil even the most hardened private dick?
Will Bryunsville crumble to cooperate greed, or is there a spark of hope left in these sordid streets? Tune into this ensemble cast, sci-fi-meets-film-noir comedy audiobook, The Dystopian Detective Agency, to find out!

FAQs
What was your inspiration for DDA?
I think we just really wanted to cram our favorite things into an audiobook. We all have a shared enjoyment of British comedy and science fiction. And who doesn't love a good mystery which has fun spicing up traditional storytelling conventions? So we talked about it over several large glasses of whiskey, and once we had general plot points, our writer crafted it into what we have today!

What makes DDA a unique audiobook production?
We recorded it as an ensemble. We got some great improvised lines because of that. We wanted Bryunsville to be a place you could really imagine walking through, going to the bars, driving in the hover cars and exploring this mystery with our heroes. The soundscape was designed to be immersive and we hope it's a brand new audio experience for the listeners!
